Programing Statistics
2010, July
In Feb. 2009 PHP briefly surpassed C++ to become number 3 on the chart and may do so again - for a longer duration if C++ keeps falling and PHP holds its popularity and maybe even gains a little.
In August or Sept. 2010, C will probably re-take the #1 position, and stay there, pushing Java back down to #2, to stay, for the first time in over 10+ years. (?)
For longer-term trends, Object-Oriented Languages have dropped to only a slight lead, 53.8%, dropping 2.5% in the current month of Feb. 2010 alone. Procedural Languages are returning, now at 41.7% of the current pgming. market, and rising 2.2% in the current month of Feb. 2010.
